Barbara Rowe Obituaries – Obituaries and Service Information

Barbara A. Rowe, 75, of Providence, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Friday, January 28, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Columbus and Mary (James) Cardarelli, and true companion of Forrest A. Hawkins, RN.

Barbara was a graduate of CCRI and Rhode Island College School of Nursing. She practiced at Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket for many years and also worked in home care, but it was her time as a cardiology nurse that made her most proud.

Barbara was a kind and generous mother and grandmother, a caring, loyal and caring friend, and an exemplary nurse, a role she truly loved with all her heart. She was able to remember an extraordinary number of former patients and often talked about them fervently. Barbara demonstrated a valiant work ethic and carried out her professional duties with tenacity and vigour. His generosity knew no bounds. She was always available for any friend in need, lending an empathetic ear without judgment or reservation.

Barbara had a deep and lasting love for Forrest. They have been an integral part of each other’s lives for many years, creating a support system based on mutual love, respect and admiration. They also shared a passion for nursing, a love for animals, especially their beloved dogs, and a zest for life. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to Forrest, Barbara is survived by her son, Robert Rowe, of Florida, and her grandchildren Robert Rowe, Jr., Tarin Rowe and Salene Freeman.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a funeral service on Tuesday, February 8 at 12:00 p.m. at Costigan-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, February 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., before the service at Costigan-O’Neill Funeral Home.
