Centraide gives a helping hand to our neighbors in need
WHEELING, WV (WTRF) – United Way continues to lend a helping hand to our neighbors in the Ohio Valley.
This year’s campaign is called “Give Where You Live”: an initiative led by Co-Chairs Jill and Dave Mathieu.
Centraide supports around 28 different agencies in and around the community that help people in need. Some of these agencies include Wheeling Health Right and The Salvation Army. And the two new Co-Chairs are delighted to support it all.
“It is very important to ‘give where you live’. A lot of people are having a lot of trouble in our Ohio Valley, and we don’t see it sometimes, but it’s over there. I thought if that was something we could do to help the campaign, then I was all for it.

“I’ve been involved with the United Way in various capacities over the past 30 years, and when they asked Jill and I to co-chair, I said ‘sure, why not? I have always had a warm place in my heart for Centraide ‘.
