New Free Wedding Dresses at Goodwill Columbus Gift
COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A brand new wedding dress – free. That’s what Goodwill Columbus will offer on Tuesday after a major retailer donated hundreds of wedding dresses.
Both locations, in Reynoldsburg on 2675 Brice Road, and the Northland Retail Store at 2933 Morse Road, will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for brides to try on – and take home – a wedding dress.
“These are all brand new dresses. This is extra inventory they had and they gave it to us to help the community, ”said Amy Wassmuth, ecommerce manager at Goodwill Columbus. “The dresses sell for between $ 200 and $ 300 per piece. It’s a great way to save money on your wedding expenses if you need that extra help. “
Goodwill received 12 different styles of wedding dresses in sizes 12 to 30 of a wedding dress
retailer. There will be 150-200 dresses at each location, Wassmuth explained.
The numbers will be distributed to customers as they line up, and customers will have the option to shop in the store while waiting for their number to be called to pick a dress.
The changing rooms will be open. The dresses will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last, with a limit of one per person.
“Remember you are shopping at Goodwill, so all contributions go to our employment mission to help create independence for those with barriers and disabilities,” said Wassmuth.
Goodwill will enforce COVID precautions, so customers will still need to wear masks, maintain appropriate social distancing, and follow all other guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.
