Sidus Space appoints Adams as Chief Technology Officer

Sidus Space Inc. recently announced the appointment of Jamie adams as CTO.

With more than three decades of program and project management in the aerospace industry, Adams will lead and lead the technology and research and development activities for Sidus Space.

Adams, originally from Franklin, Ohio, graduated from the University of Miami in Oxford, Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering.

It is published on the use and application of distributed simulation for the verification and validation of complex hardware and software systems.

He is also a member of the Kansas State University Advisory Board for the Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Adams’s previous experience includes leading autonomous systems activities in missiles and fire control for Lockheed Martin. He focused on strategic research, development and support of Lockheed Martin’s business areas and missile and fire control lines by developing autonomous systems technology for multiple areas, including air, land, sea and space.

Prior to that, Adams was Associate Division Chief of the Software Engineering, Robotics and Simulation Division at NASA Johnson Space Center.

He was responsible for overseeing the technical execution of numerous contracts supporting various human resource spaceflight programs.

In addition, Adams was responsible for NASA’s Human Robotic Interface Small Business Innovative Research Program and several initiatives with NASA Headquarters and the Department of Defense to standardize the acquisition and execution of software and the production and application of simulations to government contracts.

Adams also served as deputy group leader of Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicles, Avionics and Software, overseeing all aspects of Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company’s contracting activities for the group.

Sidus Space, based in Cape Canaveral, is focused on the design, manufacture, launch and data collection of commercial satellites, with a vision to enable the legacy status of spaceflight for new technologies and provide data and predictive analytics to domestic and global customers.

Young named Dean Mead managing shareholder

Laura Minton Young was appointed Managing Shareholder of Dean Mead’s Viera / Melbourne office. She was also elected to sit on the company’s board of directors.

Young will oversee the day-to-day operations of the office and develop long-term strategic planning.

Young specializes in finance and loans, real estate development, property rights and agribusiness.

Young received her BA from the University of Florida and then graduated from the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law.

She started with Dean Mead in 2004.

Young also serves on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of the Space Coast and the Florida Space Coast Economic Development Commission.

Strickland joins the Health Foundation accounting team

Strickland Faith recently joined the Space Coast Health Foundation as a member of the organization’s accounting team.

Strickland, a resident of Cape Canaveral, grew up in Pelham, Alabama, and received her Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, from the University of Alabama.

Prior to joining the Space Coast Health Foundation, Strickland was an intern in KPMG’s Orlando office.

The event focuses on developing a marketing plan
