COLUMBUS – An annual fundraiser – which has been running for two decades – will benefit Habitat for Humanity on October 10.
“We look forward to helping them develop their new subdivision of Hub 2 where we are now,” Brunswick said.
The room is planning an event with 14 food vendors, raffle, wine and more for the enjoyment of the guests.
Last year, the event was only virtual. This year, the fundraiser will keep that option, but hopes to sell all 600 tickets in person first.
“Habitat increased Columbus’ tax base, over ten years of house building […] we calculated that we added $ 100,000 to the tax base in Columbus, ”Lemp said. “And we offer stability, a clean place to live […] their children do better in school.
They hope to build two houses a year on these vacant lots. The project totals $ 600,000 .; All the more reason for a fundraiser.
“This is an opportunity for the people of Columbus to socialize, taste wine and help a great cause,” said Chuck Keep, new president of Habitat for Humanity. He hopes the churches will also step in and volunteer.
